Revealing a Vision

Transformation Case Studies

West Porters Lake Waterfront

The Vision

Add a formal appearance to a four acre building lot.

Project to be amortized over five stages and co-ordinated with demolition and new home construction.

The Challenge

  • Livable spaces for a narrow point of land.
  • A well planned job progression that worked for all trades.
  • Entire property is a large deposit of aeratable fill (drumlin)

The Realization

Natural stone accents, large well balanced gardens and transitions that tie living areas together resulting in this Lake Front Paradise.

Upper Tantallon Oceanfront

The Vision

A renovation that provides access to waterfront and passive areas for relaxation.

Larger gardens to support transition paths and ease the stiffness of natural stone.

South End Halifax

The Vision

A renovation that provides access to waterfront and passive areas for relaxation.

Larger gardens to support transition paths and ease the stiffness of natural stone.

The Challenge

  • Project had to be completed in two time slots.
  • A small staging area for materials and very narrow steep construction roads..
  • Over two hundred tons of material to be transported and installed.
  • Health and safety regulations were enforced to the highest degree.

The Realization

The three patios have become a huge benefit for this family. Stone and wooden stairs provided easy access to the spa, lower gardens and wharf.

The realization of our accomplishments was evident in the gratitude presented by this client.

North End Halifax

The Vision

The plan was to provide extra outdoor living space for this client.

Freshen up the driveway from asphalt to brick and ensure the patio privacy.

The Challenge

  • As in most renovations, access to the work space was limited.
  • The driveway brick required 80mm thickness.
  • Plant material needed to be mature and was sourced out of the province.

The Realization

Natural stone accents, large well balanced gardens and transitions that tie living areas together resulting in this Lake Front Paradise.
